Gracie is AMAZING. As her Uncle Steve (her trainer) would say, "She is the bomb"! He is so high on her, and if you watch her perform you would know why. She hits hard and takes every bit of who she is out to train, hunt, or test. There is no in-between with her. Her most unique quality is she is so forgiving in training. You can correct her in the field, and in an instant she will improve her bahavior and move on. She's a talent in the field and very lovable at home.
Her ability to learn is outstanding. She went from elementary to college in a matter of weeks. Gracie is easy to train and desire's to learn. Gracie will come to a smooth stop in the water on a whistle and wait until you cast her. She will watch and wait for your direction. Her love of the game drives her willingness to do well. She runs hard but has a very tender and loving side. At 14 months she won her SH title. Gracie won her HR title at Cowtown this year at 20 months old.
Gracie was named after a song I heard: A Maze of Grace sung by a group called Avalon. The words of this song are most profound: “Everyday I live, I learn to follow You, You walk me through a maze of grace.” God has blessed our family more than words can say. He has enriched our lives with His love and given us the wonderful opportunity to work with His amazing retrievers.
